Finally went back to bed at 630am. Woke up at 10:00 am and could bearly move. My hips hurt and my back and shoulders. I feel like I've been run over by a big mac truck. But it's better than throwing up!! Took a jacuzzi that helped for a little while. Laid on heating pad helps some. I'm getting out the back crack! Very Tired today.
Guess what? The laundry fairy did not come! I am very disappointed. So now I'll have to have to get mean and tell Greg and Jake that they have to do the laundry. I'll be laying on the sofa with the remote and supervise. Boy that's a change! lol.
I think Greg needs to grill some chicken breast tonight for dinner! I wonder if I have any veggies to go with that.
Got to go for now to check on veggies. I'm hungry and it's only 325 pm. I thought I might lose some weight doing chemo. If I keep eating the way I'm doing I'll gain back the 10 pounds I lost. Man that sucks. Oh well, I'm gonna eat! Greg loves me fat and all. lol.

False Alarm
Ok, laid down and my body said sike!!! Just tired not sleepy so I thought I would continue to write.
They said it the books that you get at the doctors office to ask for help if you need it and I really need something! Red (that's Sue Ellen) I really need some chicken pasta! Lol. Michael, Laurie's husband caught me some Lemon Fish. I must remember to pick that up or get Blondie to bring it to me. Todd will be the chef! Maybe we can have that this weekend. Grilled Lemon fish! Yum! I guess I'm hungry. I could go on and on. Uncle Russell I need some of your famous meatballs. And it's time for mom to come back because the freezer is empty. When she comes she will cook 3 or 4 meals at a time and freeze them. I'm out! Anybody out there that has a good dish you can just drop it off at the house. LOL!
So it has been two days since chemo. No hair falling out yet. Still trying to figure out what to do when that happens. I guess we will have a party and shave my head! I just can't drink, what a bummer. But I have happy pills!!!
Man the house is so quite. I think the guys need to get up and talk to me. Do you think they would be pissed if I turned the music up! HAHAHA. It's 4:20 am. I think they would kill me! Just because they have work and school does not mean I don't need them to get up and play. I need some company.

1st Chemo Treatment
Ok, Tuesday morning had my goody bag packed and was ready to go when Laurie picked me up. Waited for about 20 minutes to get in to the room where they hook you up. It seemed like about 2 hours. The nursing staff was very nice and down to earth. They said o boy we have a live one who likes to play! They were very excited. I walked around the room looking for a good chair. All the people I saw was sleeping. I wanted to be by someone I could talk to and play with. So I ended up on the other side of the room by myself. The nurses hooked me up and gave me snacks and juice. I turned on the TV to watch Raymond and guess what? I feel asleep. They must knock you out. I get hooked up to five different bags of stuff. I woke on my last bag. I can tell you that when they hooked up to my port, it wasn't bad at all. I thought that it would hurt. I told Laurie if she was my "real" friend she would come in and let them stick her in the chest just so I could see if it would hurt. She told me that she didn't have a port. LOL.
When I got home I went to bed. Yesterday, Wednesday I was very sluggish and a little quezey. Just ate some crackers and was much better. It's kind of like morning sickness. Put something in your stomach and you are good to go. Greg took me to go get my shot yesterday. This is the shot that will make my white blood cells produce sooner. They said that I will have joint and muscle aches. (what's new huh!). Well it's 3:30 in the morning and I'm doing ok so far. But I'm on so much different medicine I don't know if I'm coming or going. Been if a fog since chemo.
Well I'm doing laundry since I'm awake and while i have energy. I'm hopeing the laundry fairy comes today cuz I can't walk in the laundry room. Greg and Jake had been doing really good about helping out, but I guess they must have forgot how to wash clothes over the last 3 or 4 days. I'll have to remind them.
My big day back at work will be Monday. I'm looking forward to it. I guess we will see how my energy holds out. I miss seeing my friends. Hey gang, I can't wait to "OPN" I've been entertaining my self for toooooo long. It's your turn. LOL

The saga of the silver tooth!
Hey all you out there in computer land. Today is Sunday and a beautiful day outside. I think we will grill today or should I say that I will fix it and Greg will grill it. Of course we will watch the Saint's game.
Well lets talk about the fixed tooth the one they put the temepary cap on and ordered the 600 dollar tooth for well: Friday morning I woke up with a tooth ache on the tooth that was just fixed! Called the dentist back and have an appointment for Monday A.M. I'm making them pull it. They wanted to know if I wanted to get a root canal. They must be crazy that shit hurts. lol. I told them that I was trying to live a pain free life and to pull the sucker. It's a back tooth, I wont miss it and nobody can see it. So I won't look like a toothless redneck!
Still waiting on the chemo nurses to schedule me. I have been calling them every morning! I am ready to get this show on the road. I am scheduled to go back to work on Wednesday. Now I bet chemo people will want to do it this week. That is gonna screw up the work schedule. Thank god everyone has been so nice and understanding.
Now for some fun stuff. Laurie and I are going to go wig shopping. I can't wait. Greg said I should get a long blonde one. lol I asked him if he want straight are curly. He said wavy hair cuz he already has a woman with curly hair. lol We will just have to see. This will be a fun adventure. I will try on all kinds of wigs. Jake said I need a purple fro! Laurie said she will take pictures and well will tired to figure out how to post the pictures this week.
Well I'll report back when know my schedule and have one less tooth.

Thursday - 10/14/10
Hey guys,
Well I finally got my tooth fixed. My regular dentist's staff could not seem to fit me in even though I have been a patient of his for 15 years. So I called my son's dentist and he took me the same day now I have a temporary crown and can start the chemo.
Called Quin that's my chemo nurse but she has not gotten back to me yet to set a date. So I did the only thing I could think of : went and had my toes done! They look good too! I was starting to sound like Joe Joe walking the floor.
My possee wants to take a road trip tomorrow but we have to wait to see when I start chemo. Quin needs to hurry up an call cuz I have important things to do.
I receive a very special present from the UPS man yesterday. My cajuns sent me a ton of box food (as steven calls it). For all you non cajuns, that's food you cook out of a box from Tony's ....I have gumbo, dirty rice etc....and I also received all kinds of Mary Kay products so that my skin won't get all dried out. As Tammy would say all ashy. Lol. I just love my cajuns. They are soooo good to me. Hope I get to see them soon. Need to get a hamburger steak from Kings. Just craving it.
Laurie had the day off from Janellarella care since I had a dental appointment and a visit to my regular Doctor. I called her in between my visits and she went to the show with Dots. A well deserved rest. Dotsie is another one that has been really good to me. I am so lucky to have the family and friends that I have.
My brother has made it back to New Orleans and came for a visit the other day. He looks good. He read my blog and sent me a message tell me I should have named it the "cronicles of the tumbling tumble weed". He used to call me tumble weed when we were teenagers because my hair was wild. It's a good thing my family has a sense of humor. They keep me going. That's all for now. I'll let you know when "D day" for chemo is.

Cancer Class
Today Laurie and I went to Memorial for Class on Chemo. We found out all kinds of things that might happen, but we aren't gonna talk about that. One of the important things we noticed on the list is no drinking. This is not good. There is no place on any of these forms that say not to smoke, but it does say that you cannot drink. Man o man.....that means all the holidays I'll have to be sober! Lol. Laurie said that the not smoking should be understood. I said they should tell you or write it down somewhere. Well I will try and I repeat try to stop smoking when I start the chemo. Greg is going to quit also. Wish us luck. (I bet he will still drink his beer. He will be banned to downstairs.)
We also found out that I have to get the tooth fixed before they will start my chemo. So we are in a scramble to get an appointment with the Dentist. They want to start the chemo this week. We got to tour the room they give the Chemo in. You get a lounge chair and your own tv. (I guess not cocktail. dam) But Laurie will not be able to sit with me in this room its for us special people only. ... all you non cancer people must wait out side and share a tv. I think they have treats, drinks (juice and water) and snacks. Can't wait to see if they have any good stuff.
I have packed a bag for my chemo visits. My friends from work brought me a big basket full of goodies. So I have put them in a bag to take with me. I have a blanket, books, lotion, puzzle books and magazines. Jake is going to lend me his ipod as well so I just might have to sing to my neighbors so they will not be bored. You know I must entertain myself. I will have my cell phone and will be able to text. So for now I think I'm ready.
I'll write again soon. This blog was created by Laurie you know my bff! She sure has been good to me. It's like we are going thru this together. She got mad at one of the nurses today. I had to hold her back. This young girl had a attitude and blondie did not like it one bit. Next time queen I'll let you slap her. Love you girl! We both will be writing and she has some pictures to put on here when she figures out how to do it. We both are so spiffy on technology it might take a while for the pics to show up. Lol...
I do want to say thanks for all the Prayers.... God has been good to me. I am very fortunate to have the family and friends the I have. Keep the prayers coming.

Let's Talk about the Port!!!
Well when I was asleep for surgery the gremlins came in and hurt my shoulder. The area where the put the port in is a little sore but..... my should felt like it was popped out of joint and put back. 3:00 am Saturday morning I was sitting on the back porch with Greg and was crying like a baby. I took the pain meds, but it didn't stop the pain, just made me stupid and sick to my stomach. Saturday morning when Laurie called she said she had something I could rub on my shoulder and it would help..... Guess what ? It's for horses and you get it at the feed store. It's called ABSORBINE Veterinary Liniment and smells like spearmint snoballs. This "back crack" is the bomb. Oh my, just a little goes along way. So all you folks with any pain go get some of this back crack from your vet. lol. Now I'm prancing around and can pitch with my left arm.
Sunday was a very good day. Greg cleaned the house, while I cleaned out my closet. I really needed to do this so that I could find my clothes to go back to work. Jake spent the weekend in Baton Rouge at a Soccer Tourny.

The Journey Begins 10/8/10
Today Janell gets her port inserted in her chest. This is a good thing because she's a big chicken and hates needles. Medicine will be administered through this port and also blood will be drawn. The procedure is short and we arrive at 9:00 and it's estimated that we'll be done by 11:00. She will be put to sleep for this procedure so I will be driving a zombie. I'm pretty used to this because I've driven her home after one too many lots of times! LOL As always, prayers will be greatly appreciated! Further updates to follow.
