Round Two!

Ok I'm ready for round two. Laurie will pick me up in about and hour to bring me to my second session. Nanny is going to pick me up to come home. I feel really good this morning.

This is my wish for the great chemo god! While you are in there lets fix the nasty toe nail I have. Also, the cottage cheese look on the thighs that has to go to. While your are at it fix my crooked nose. It can't get my hair this time because its all gone.HAHA.


This weekend Laurie came over and shaved the rest of my hair that was just hanging on. I looked like a dog with mange! It's sooooo much better all gone. For one this it doesn't itch any more. There was hair everywhere, on my robe, on the bed, in all the hats. It was aggravating. When I would go to bed I had to shake out the sheets. (You know like you do if sand gets in them.) Washing helps for one day. Now no hair!!!

Today is Miles' 21st birthday. Lauire will bring me then have the rest of the day to spend with her baby. She might take him to lunch. God our kids just grow up way to fast. Jake will be 18 next month.

Sue will be coming over to babysit me tomorrow! She will cook her chicken pasta and some crawfish pies. WOOO HOOO. I hope I can eat tomorrow.

I received a present yesterday from Paulette (that's Greg's cousin Chris' wife). I just love her. She is so sweet. We all use to hang out on the weekend before marriage and kids. She sent me to wonderful books. I'm bringing them with me today to read while I do my chemo. Lets see how long I stay awake today with the drugs.

I am hoping that this time is a breeze. Let's think happy thoughts. Several people said it does get a little worse each time. I will be sure to let you know. Although, I am pretty fortunate. I spoke with my to cancer buddies. One will start her chemo next week, her port is close to the middle of her chest. The other one started last week and was very sick for three or four days not being able to eat and throwing up. Man that sucks. So your friend curly here has been pretty lucky. Love you two and I hope your treatment gets better for you.

I guess I have to go take my shower. It takes about 5 minutes to get ready now. Wash off , rinse, get dress. No hair to wash and dry and fix. This is how guys get ready so fast. Just stick a hat on and your good to go. The first day i didn't know what to use to wash my hair....do I need shampoo, I dont think so. So I just my Oil of Olay body wash. I have little prickly hairs on my head which is good coz it keeps my hat in place.
